HI-LIGHT - the Light Fantastic is a unique solution to the problems of sewing in different lighting conditions. A revolutionary sewing light it is shaped to distribute simulated daylight on to the fabric. This provides light without shadows and allows thread and fabric colours to be seen as they really are. Embroidery Module. To enhance quilting, clothing, almost anything, the Artista Embroidery Module slides effortlessly into place. Easy to use.  A combination of buttons and a touch screen give perfect control over the machine. To select a stitch or function touch the picture on the screen. To adjust stitch width or length continuously while sewing turn the dials. To secure a seam, press the button right above the needle. To raise the presser foot and lower the feed dog, nudge the knee-lifter. To thread the needle flick the automatic needle threader. Perfect buttonholes. Take your button, measure it against the touchscreen and sew. The correct length will be repeated as often as needed and even remain unchanged if sewing density is altered to suit a different fabric. Both sides of the buttonhole are identical. 11 different styles, including 2 eyelets - the right one is always available. Advanced sewing functions.Long stitch and basting stitch allow stitch length up to 20mm; ideal for tacking and top-stitching. If the upper thread breaks while sewing the machine stops automatically. The more usual stitch controls such as mirror image, single pattern, pattern end and permanent reverse are all included, as are multiple sewing speeds and needle positions. The massive 4 Megabyte capacity memory is powerful enough for large numbers of pattern combinations or words and allows complex design and letter integration. The Eco or 'green' button conserves power and adds safety. Artista Creative Consultant gives expert advice on a particular sewing job - the foot, settings and thread - just tell it what has to be done and it will set the machine and display instructions. Personalised set-up with the unique 'Set-up' facility. Select favourite features and stitches and put them on a personalised screen - ready for immediate use. Any particular length, width or needle position, settings for any stitch can be saved. The 'F' button just above the needle is reserved for a favourite function. This can be changed easily to suit a current task. Customer Pattern Selection is free on the Artista 180. Both the built-in stitches and the embroidery designs in the machine and embroidery module can be changed. There are over 360 stitches and sideways feed patterns. These stitches and sideways feed patterns are grouped into categories and can replace any of the Artista built-in patterns excluding alphabets and buttonholes. Over 240 embroidery patterns are provided to build a collection of personal favorites.
